When I look at images of those dead soldiers
Lives ending before the setting of the sun
Army boots on feet with laces firmly tied
Become the last act of a childhood lost.

C. Anderson is an adjunct lecturer in History and Religion at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently pursuing his PhD in Theological and Religious Studies, Drew University- NJ.
